Scenes from the 5.3 Earthquake That Rattled Southern California This Afternoon

by Charles Mudede USGSAt 12:29 p.m. today, an earthquake hit Southern California. Its epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean, and about 85 miles west of Los Angeles. So far, no injuries or deaths. And also no tsunami warnings.Here are some scenes from the rattling that mercifully stopped, that mercifully did not explode into the Big One that's always in the back of our minds.
